Chris Evers
Chris Evers - Marketing Manager, E.J. Breneman L.P., Zephyrhills, FL
Chris Evers has been with E.J. Breneman since 2001. His responsibilities include leading all client liaison functions in the State of Florida and implementing educational efforts for all new processes introduced in Florida. He hosts educational seminars and delivers technical presentations to civil engineers and road administrators. Chris provides pavement management advice to key decision-makers within the public and private sector. Chris also heads up the launch of multiple product lines to key users such as Florida Department of Transportation and Federal Aviation Administration and ensures client satisfaction with all project level operations. Chris graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in marketing. He was on the President´s Honor Roll and the Dean´s Honor Roll. Chris also attended Regents College, London, UK where he participated in the International Business Program and was named to the President´s Honor Roll. Chris is a Sustaining Member of the Florida Association of County Engineers and Road Superintendents. He serves on the Cold Recycling Subcommittee for the Asphalt Reclaiming and Recycling Association. He has also been a member of the Florida Chapter APWA since 2002 and currently sits on the Finance Committee and Chairs the Governmental Affairs Committee. As a member of the West Coast Branch, Florida Chapter APWA Chris has served on the Executive Board since 2002 holding numerous Committee Chairs and as Secretary in 2003, Vice-Chair in 2004, and Chair in 2005. Chris is also a member of the ASCE Infrastructure Committee, the Florida Airports Council and the University of Florida Technology Transfer LTAP Faculty.
For his many achievements for the Florida APWA, Chris received the Young Leader Award in 2008. He has also received numerous awards from the APWA West Coast Branch, the Florida Association of Counties, and the Florida Airports Council. Chris was just nominated to become Vice President of the Florida Chapter of APWA a position he is honored to hold. Chris has written for numerous publications including: Contributing. Author, Preventative Maintenance, a four-part series, Florida Technology Transfer Newsletter, 2007-2008; Author, Cold in-Place Recycling Saves Independence Parkway, West Coast Branch Newsletter, 2003; Contributing Author, Fast-Track Road Rehab, Dixie Contractor, 2003; and Contributor, Florida About to Test Paving Process that has European Roots, ENR Magazine, 2003. Chris and his wife Monique are the proud parents of one year old twins. They also volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
